Cardiff was a camera operator becoming cinematographer for 73 films, documentaries and TV series. This documentary explores his impressive career which started in 1935 and whose work was said “to have altered the look of film”. With clips from many of the films he worked on, including The Vikings, The Red Shoes and A Matter Of Life And Death.

Followed by an informal chat about the film from 5.30–6pm
